SCRATCH TEST

Privacy policy

Recce · Scratch Test · Effective July 24, 2026

The short version

Recce collects no data. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. The app makes no internet connections at all — there is no server on our end, so nothing you do in Recce ever reaches us.

On your device

Everything Recce makes stays on your phone: projects, captured stills, storyboards, lens kits, and settings live in the app's local storage. Stills are added to your Photo Library only if you turn that on. Exports — images, PDFs, video — leave the device only when you share them yourself.

Permissions

Recce asks for up to three permissions, and only the first is required:

Camera — the viewfinder is a camera app; without it there is nothing to frame.

Photo Library (add only) — used solely to save your captured stills to Photos, if you enable that. Recce cannot read your existing photos.

Location (while using the app) — optionally tags each captured frame with where the shot was found, so scout boards can show it. The tag is stored in the shot on your device and goes nowhere else. Decline it and everything works, untagged.

Your data

Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to share, sell, retain, or delete. If you have questions about any of this, write to us and a person will answer.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
